NATIONAL WETLAND RESTORATION SYMPOSIUM

The 4th National Wetland Restoration Symposium, will be held in Rotorua on March 3rd-5th 2010. The theme is: "Wetland Management and Restoration (Freshwater and Estuarine)."
This very practical-based forum is being organised by the Bay of Plenty Wetland Forum in association with the National Wetland Trust. The Bay of Plenty Wetland Forum comprises Environment Bay of Plenty, Fish & Game New Zealand (Eastern Region), and the Department of Conservation Bay of Plenty Conservancy.
The Symposium is designed as a training and networking opportunity for landowners, iwi, people committed to wetland biodiversity and restoration, policy makers and wetland scientists from all over New Zealand.
A special discounted rate supported by the Biodiversity Advice Fund is available for a limited number of wetland restoration community group members, individuals undertaking wetland restoration on private land, and full time students. Register early to secure this rate. Evidence will be required to show eligibility. Other forms of assistance may be available to you. Contact the Wetland Trust to find out.
