Indigenous Ecosystem Processes

  • Wildland Consultants have undertaken ecological surveys and related assessments of the following indigenous ecosystem and habitat types: indigenous forest, scrub, shrubland, freshwater wetlands, estuarine wetlands, lakes and lakeshores, streams and rivers, sand dunes, geothermal vegetation, grasslands, herbfield, offshore islands, and mountainlands.

  • Staff are very familiar with estuarine and freshwater wetland ecosystems, having undertaken detailed vegetation surveys of large harbour systems and many freshwater wetlands.

  • Staff have a high level of understanding of ecosystem processes having previously undertaken (and published) studies on disturbance mechanisms in indigenous ecosystems, threatened species ecology, and the impacts and roles of introduced animal pests (including monitoring studies) and pest plants.
